The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the AFC Nirosxn 08 defense, George Buzoianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mugurel Slătineanu. The AFC Nirosxn 08 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugurel Slătineanu should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Emil Atanasiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zsigmond Pál. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Atanasiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál got control of the ball when Ionică Savu tried to sneak it across the goal line. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Iosif Gurlui got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zsigmond Pál showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Atanasiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ionică Savu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Zsigmond Pál made a huge save. AFC Nirosxn 08's Laurențiu Todericiu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zsigmond Pál in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. George Buzoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Slătineanu having to interfere. Zsigmond Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionică Savu in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Tărbac to maneuver through the defense. Zsigmond Pál showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Atanasiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes, Iosif Gurlui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- and the AFC Nirosxn 08 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emil Atanasiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Zsigmond Pál tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Atanasiu took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zsigmond Pál. Zsigmond Pál dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. George Buzoianu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugurel Slătineanu having to make a save. Mugurel Slătineanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Buzoianu in the 63rd minute. Anton Baicea hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes, AFC Nirosxn 08's Robert Acalinei shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC Nirosxn 08 reached it. 68 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Savu came free, but Zsigmond Pál reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s zone, Laurențiu Todericiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zsigmond Pál came out of the goal and Laurențiu Todericiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Podgoreanu. In the 77th minute, Emil Atanasiu made a precise shot to the right of Zsigmond Pál. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. David Jönsätt took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zsigmond Pál. Zsigmond Pál dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Zsigmond Pál took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Atanasiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFC Nirosxn 08's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gregorio Martxot in the 89th minute. After taking down the ball on AFC Nirosxn 08's corner Laurențiu Todericiu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zsigmond Pál quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iosif Gurlui got free with Mugurel Slătineanu in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
