Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Poli Iași's Remus Nuțu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victor Arseanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mihai Bogdănescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Victor Arseanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihai Bogdănescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cezar Encioiu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Manole Tăcutu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Nuțu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Peter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Tăcutu having to interfere. A collision led to Poli Iași getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Fabian Papaiani hit a great ball. Costică Stoleru hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Poli Iași's Olimpiu Luca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manole Tăcutu. That made the score 3-1 after 35 minutes of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Remus Nuțu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Iași's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remus Nuțu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mihai Bogdănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavius Mahonea in the 41st minute of the match. If Remus Nuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olimpiu Luca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Manole Tăcutu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olimpiu Luca in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manole Tăcutu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Cezar Encioiu hit a great ball. Manole Tăcutu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Luca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Berevoescu. In the 62nd minute of the match George Baldu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manole Tăcutu skillfully saved the ball. Manole Tăcutu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Nuțu in the 63rd minute of the match. The Poli Iași fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Poli Iași's Olimpiu Luca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 67 minutes into the game, Flavius Mahonea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Iași the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Stoleru to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Victor Arseanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihai Bogdănescu. The goal made the score 4-2. Adrian Elian hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Cezar Berevoescu shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Poli Iași's Mihai Bogdănescu to catch but Cezar Berevoescu was lucky. It became 4-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Manole Tăcutu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Nuțu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Luca in the 93rd minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
