Marian Văduvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Gherguț in the 22nd minute of the match. When George Baldu fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poli Iași's protests and gave George Baldu a yellow card for diving instead. 24 minutes into the match, Filip Paulescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicu Timofte, 3-0. Robert Antohi hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zygmunt Dunajski made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Nicolae Barbu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Nicu Timofte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicu Timofte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Paulescu went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zygmunt Dunajski in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicu Timofte saved Poli Iași from getting behind. Nicu Timofte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Dunajski in the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Poli Iași's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Barbu came free, but Nicu Timofte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Cristian Fința ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicu Timofte was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. Zygmunt Dunajski might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicu Timofte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zygmunt Dunajski ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Poli Iași getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Olimpiu Florean hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the FC Steaua Pildesti players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
