After a defensive mix-up in A4p FC Gad's zone, Anton Cucerdean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Iosub in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glenn Fyfe saved A4p FC Gad from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Cai Yue Guang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by James Batistuta. 39 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when King Scorpio came free, but Cai Yue Guang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Andrei Cosor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glenn Fyfe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Batistuta got free with Cai Yue Guang in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cai Yue Guang was a little too slow when James Batistuta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-2.

The wind increased when Mihnea Iosub made the kick off in the second half. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Purcărete in the 54th minute of play. If Anton Cucerdean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Dumitru Purcărete made a precise shot to the right of Cai Yue Guang. Ninjas in Pyjamas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. A4p FC Gad's James Batistuta managed to work through Ninjas in Pyjamas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal.
