Despite this Marian Văduvescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Barbu got free with Victor Negara in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolae Barbu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victor Negara came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicolae Barbu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 42nd minute. Marian Văduvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shen Xi Bang, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.
