The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Leceta got free with Wilson Amorim in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute of the match ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Berart Moroño ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 17th minute of the match, Epifanio Leceta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 21st minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Fuentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Moura in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Fuentes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, Epifanio Leceta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim. Epifanio Leceta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Graciano Coutinho made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's Xandro Oribe. ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's Santiago Fuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berart Moroño to maneuver through the defense. If Caetano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kara Melo made in the 67th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Epifanio Leceta however managed to control. In the 77th minute, Kara Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kara Melo in the 89 minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Felipinho Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Epifanio Leceta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
