The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Leceta got free with Wilson Amorim in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Raul Caetano in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's Xandro Oribe. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Epifanio Leceta to strike the kick off in the second half. It was a well-played corner which Faustino Almeida managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
