Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Lisandro Nuñez made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Astigar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dario Astigar. After having played for 16 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lisandro Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 26th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Dario Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lisandro Nuñez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Lisandro Nuñez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Nuñez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 40th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernie Siegel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 41st minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Dario Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAN LORENZO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Astigar having to interfere. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dario Astigar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Astigar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Meesters's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Dario Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julien Corbeau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 78th minute of the match. Lv Tian Yuan kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Isaias Rosario replaced Ernie Siegel. Lv Tian Yuan hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Dario Astigar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 81st minute. Dario Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Iliana in the 97th minute of play. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
