Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Blanco in the 40th minute of play. When Jan Hendrik Saarberg came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Internacional de Lisboa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Hendrik Saarberg couldn't finish the play. Fodor Daniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antal Valentin charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antal Valentin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antal Valentin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Internacional de Lisboa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. 80 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Internacional de Lisboa's Vladimiro Leão.
