Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Viriato Moura made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the game, Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Oidor in the 6th minute. The corner ended in Sergio Austin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim did a great save. Petre Traian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Oidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute, Felipe Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Miranda. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Laureano Acuña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Laureano Acuña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Petre Traian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petre Traian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Congo Bongo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Felipe Barreto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petre Traian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Oidor to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Viriato Moura tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petre Traian saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 57 minutes into the match, Daniel Pimentel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petre Traian. Congo Bongo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Pimentel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Portugal booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özalp Yavuzalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Oidor in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Viriato Moura hit a great ball. Congo Bongo made a substitution. Froilan Iaki replaced Sergio Austin. Viriato Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Damaso Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Petre Traian. That made the score 1-3 after 71 minutes of play. A collision led to Congo Bongo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Laureano Acuña hit a great ball. The Congo Bongo fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Congo Bongo's Damaso Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Damaso Sancho scored 3-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damaso Sancho took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3.
