Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuel Markham started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Malte Schiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Markham was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Brufoss IL's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 8 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Markham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Germany's Frank Sachs got a free kick in the 12th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Leif Opdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Emanuel Markham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emanuel Markham really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Emanuel Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kai Østbye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Frode Tobiassen came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kai Østbye was slow to take the kick. During this time Brufoss IL's players had a chance to rest. Kai Østbye made a great header on Brufoss IL's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. 36 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leif Opdal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frode Tobiassen might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frode Tobiassen ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Germany defense, Emanuel Markham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Brufoss IL's August Bergsland was substituted for Frode Tobiassen. Brufoss IL's Nils-Arne Bruvik was substituted for Kevin Strømsnes. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Opdal having to interfere. The audience was convinced that August Bergsland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Emanuel Markham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Emanuel Markham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Kenneth Heistad to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brufoss IL.
