Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toni Mauzer kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toni Mauzer in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fernando Massa saved Febre Amarela from getting behind. In the 7th minute, one of Croatia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Croatia. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Febre Amarela. João Francisco Passos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilija Skugor. 1-0. Luís Fernando Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Mauzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho Vale in the 23rd minute of play. Lenílson Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Febre Amarela's Marcos Carneiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcos Carneiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Febre Amarela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcos Carneiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Febre Amarela! After having played for 35 minutes, Toni Mauzer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toni Mauzer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Fernando Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Bosak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damir Pongrac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Massa having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Martin Bosak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Bosak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lenílson Palmeira to strike the kick off in the second half. Martin Bosak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Luís Fernando Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia's zone, Lenílson Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal and Lenílson Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lenílson Palmeira in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilija Skugor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71st play minutes Lenílson Palmeira shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Ilija Skugor and just under the crossbar into goal. After 75 minutes, Danilo Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Febre Amarela and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Febre Amarela getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Danilo Sá hit a great ball. Fellipe Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenílson Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Luís Fernando Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 95th minute of the match. Croatia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
