The audience thought a goal was coming when Dariusz Wos got free with Wilson Amorim in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Dariusz Wos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Nils Støle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dariusz Wos in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Nils Støle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Dariusz Wos sent off a good shot on target. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Bel Panino made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. After 48 minutes A.C. Patagonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Felipe Barreto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nils Støle quite easily take care of the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Viriato Moura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Nils Støle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horea Boian to make the kick off. Faustino Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
