Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lluis Companys started the match with the kick off. León Ponzio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lluis Companys came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Pierluigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KaoS Futbol Club getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Zeledon Tabb hit a great ball. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 19th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierluigi Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Albuquerque came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. KaoS Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Albuquerque in the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Jacob Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Narciso Noe notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the match, KaoS Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Pierluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Pierluigi Buffon. KaoS Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Pierluigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. KaoS Futbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored to the left of an out of position Pierluigi Buffon, making the score, 1-3. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Lebas in the 88th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
