Takacs Tibor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Gallberg having to interfere. In the 6th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Gallberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Balazs Lajos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camille Drame in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Kronan got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bror Lundqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. Takacs Tibor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jens-Ove Gallberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Dalgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bror Lundqvist in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bror Lundqvist's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Major Barna in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens-Ove Gallberg saved Kronan from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Bror Lundqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fodor Daniel. The goal made the score 2-1. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jens-Ove Gallberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Camille Drame had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Dalgren to make the kick off. The supporters of Hungary booed when Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Qvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Bror Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jens-Ove Gallberg, 2-2. Kronan made a substitution. Edgar Vallin replaced David Dalgren. In the 72nd minute of the match, Takacs Tibor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens-Ove Gallberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
