After 15 played minutes, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sepp Maier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Netherlands reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 18th minute of play forced Iluminados por El Sensei's goalkeeper Sepp Maier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 57th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Maier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Ferreira took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 64th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Eleder came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Ferreira in the 67th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Iluminados por El Sensei were awarded a corner. Fabian Cordaryal went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Iluminados por El Sensei's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sepp Maier came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Ignatius in the 74th minute of play. Sepp Maier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 83rd minute of the match. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Cordaryal's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When Fabian Cordaryal got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Arnout Reekers was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Iluminados por El Sensei's Sepp Maier. Sepp Maier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Sepp Maier in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Eleder came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands played a much better game than Iluminados por El Sensei and deserved their victory. The Iluminados por El Sensei players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
