With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Jilek in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Recai Keçeli saved VASCO DA GAMA from getting behind. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krzysztof Piczak in the 21st minute of play. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Gonçalves in the 24th minute of play. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Krzysztof Piczak sent off a good shot on target. Krzysztof Piczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. VASCO DA GAMA had played much better football throughout.
