The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's Geralt Wilk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geralt Wilk might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geralt Wilk got free with Fodor Daniel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Geralt Wilk sent off a good shot on target. When Geralt Wilk came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the KS Olimpia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geralt Wilk couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Hungary booed when KS Olimpia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhu Cheng Guo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 27th minute of play forced KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Waldemar Cwynar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Zhu Cheng Guo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fodor Daniel skillfully saved the ball. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Waldemar Cwynar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 31st minute of play. In the 81st minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Cwynar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sharma Sharma struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS Olimpia Warszawa. Many of Hungary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hungary may have spent more time on the ball, but KS Olimpia Warszawa were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
