If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qin Ke Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The corner led Ballkam Sportsklubb's Liu Ying Qing to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. Igor Haikin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Igor Haikin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Wim Wilmes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Ballkam Sportsklubb players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yngve Johnstad kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by De-la-Cruz Fantasia in the 72nd minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from De-la-Cruz Fantasia in the 74th minute of the match. When Ballkam Sportsklubb's Qin Ke Kun in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
