The crowd rose to their feet as Walter Giardino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. José Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Walter Giardino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Egemen Tavgaç sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurence Snow got free with Wilson Amorim in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Sá narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Walter Giardino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilson Amorim. That made the score 3-1 after 46 minutes of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 55th minute of the match. José Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Walter Giardino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurence Snow, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
