The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Borsos got free with Arnout Reekers in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Bezek defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Asso Kullamaa. The Bezek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Asso Kullamaa should have stopped the shot. Bezek's Asso Kullamaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of play. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Asso Kullamaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asso Kullamaa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Bezek's Damian Lerych dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Tytus Jaszcz came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 46th minute of play forced Bezek's goalkeeper Asso Kullamaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Asso Kullamaa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 51st minute. 51 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Asso Kullamaa. Gustaaf Groeneveldt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Asso Kullamaa firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 63rdth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bezek's Asso Kullamaa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Asso Kullamaa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tytus Jaszcz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the Bezek defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Asso Kullamaa. The Bezek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Asso Kullamaa should have stopped the shot. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Borsos in the 95th minute of play. The Bezek fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
