Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Navarro in the 32nd minute. Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 35th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niculae Ailenei having to make a save. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Niculae Ailenei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 39th minute of play forced Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Niculae Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niculae Ailenei. Niculae Ailenei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Chevaliers FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. Niculae Ailenei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 51st minute. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Navarro went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Bagge was slow to take the kick. During this time Chevaliers FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 63rd minute, Peter Bagge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Navarro went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Niculae Ailenei made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 82 minutes, Sorin Gurgui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chevaliers FC and the Belgium players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chevaliers FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Sorin Gurgui hit a great ball. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niculae Ailenei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Niculae Ailenei in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niculae Ailenei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
