With an all-out effort, Rega Merida CF's Casper Claes threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nistor Sârban, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wasyl Dziurowicz in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Rega Merida CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan Gravenhorst to maneuver through the defense. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Sârban, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casper Claes. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. 29 minutes into the game, Nistor Sârban cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Rega Merida CF booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Bonte didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 36th minute of play forced Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Edmund Kojder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Sârban in the 39th minute of play. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nistor Sârban went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Rega Merida CF's Filcho Dzhagarov got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nistor Sârban was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Sârban in the 52nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmund Kojder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Rega Merida CF's corner Leonello Messias fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute of the match Rega Merida CF got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonello Messias ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rega Merida CF's Leonello Messias was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Claes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Floris Claeys kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rega Merida CF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Belgium had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
