Stefan Strömbom kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute Sverker Vallengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tord Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Soned, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Söderströms IF got a corner. Huaröd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henry Soned ran over to the corner to take the kick. Henry Soned made a great header on Söderströms IF's corner, it was just that Huaröd's Tord Forsberg managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Huaröd booed when Söderströms IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Rudkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Sture Brogren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Törnqvist. Söderströms IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sture Brogren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Joar Valrot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Törnqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Joar Valrot slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute Rolf Rudkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match Söderströms IF got a corner. Huaröd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Söderströms IF's corner Thor Rydelius fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tord Forsberg quite easily take care of the ball. Sture Brogren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Törnqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Karl-Magnus Håning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Strömbom did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Hugo Törnqvist 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Sverker Vallengren made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sverker Vallengren got free with Tord Forsberg in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute of the match, Henry Soned tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tord Forsberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 58th minute Henry Soned shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Algot Brandin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huaröd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Söderströms IF the free kick. In the 59th minute, Algot Brandin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes, Sture Brogren made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Söderströms IF's Hugo Törnqvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tord Forsberg made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Sverker Vallengren sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, Edward Ahlbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thor Smitt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugo Törnqvist. Söderströms IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Söderströms IF's Hugo Törnqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joar Valrot in the 76th minute of play. Sverker Vallengrens short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Tord Forsberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute, Sture Brogren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Törnqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Huaröd made a substitution. Henning Lindmark replaced Sten Hurtig. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Stefan Strömbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huaröd's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Strömbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Törnqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Stefan Strömbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Söderströms IF's Hugo Törnqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Strömbom in the 91st minute of play. If Sture Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Huaröd's Tord Forsberg got control of the ball when Sverker Vallengren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Söderströms IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
