Horacio Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristóf Sipos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Eulalio Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcell Túri having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Eulalio Frederico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcell Túri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sibaris defense, Serafin Lehen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcell Túri. The Sibaris fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcell Túri should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield's zone, Károly Tóth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Janpier came out of the goal and Károly Tóth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Imre Bányai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Janpier having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Róbert Lehoczky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sibaris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Banfield the free kick. The supporters of Banfield booed when Sibaris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbert Lehoczky didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafin Lehen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Lastur charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Lastur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Christian Lastur. If Serafin Lehen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Rene Bidun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafin Lehen to strike the kick off in the second half. Sibaris's supporters rose to their feet, but Mózes Molnár was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Janpier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Serafin Lehen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Imre Bányai came free, but Horacio Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Boldizsár Gyurkovics got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Sibaris's Marcell Túri got control of the ball when Eulalio Frederico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Banfield's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
