Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jens Thijs started the match with the kick off. Horacio Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Thijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Jens Thijs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christopher Leemans charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Leemans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Banfield booed when Okapi aalstar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Leemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Frederico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafin Lehen in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loid De Kepper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Eulalio Frederico notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Okapi aalstar's Loid De Kepper. Loid De Kepper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Higinio Pacho's late challenge caught a Okapi aalstar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Higinio Pacho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Higinio Pacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Jens Thijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens Thijs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafin Lehen made a kick off. Jens Thijs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Janpier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Horacio Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Thijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Horacio Janpier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelle Marant in the 63rd minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Okapi aalstar got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Van Achter. A collision led to Okapi aalstar getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jens Thijs hit a great ball. Eulalio Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loid De Kepper having to interfere. Jens Thijs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jelle Marant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Okapi aalstar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jelle Marant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Janpier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eulalio Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loid De Kepper having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Jens Thijs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Okapi aalstar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Thijs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jelle Marant in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Janpier saved Banfield from getting behind. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
