The referee ignored Banfield's protests and gave Silvano Luzea a yellow card for diving instead. Silvano Luzea kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of Banfield booed when Greenhall FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boddibevve McWill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boddibevve McWill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Janpier having to interfere. Rene Bidun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salmon McIan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Lehen in the 17th minute of the match. Greenhall FC's Salmon McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Lastur in the 26th minute of play. Salmon McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salmon McIan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Lastur in the 29th minute of the match. After 30th play minutes Christian Lastur shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Salmon McIan and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 34th minute, Bercan Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salmon McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Frederico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randal McIan charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randal McIan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Salmon McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Frederico in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Christian Lastur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Greenhall FC's Salmon McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Eyague in the 44th minute of play. Salmon McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Lehen in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 54 minutes, Bercan Beckett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenhall FC and the Banfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bercan Beckett hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to Banfield getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Christian Lastur hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Lastur to maneuver through the defense. Salmon McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Lehen, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Boddibevve McWill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Janpier having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Lehen in the 79th minute of play forced Greenhall FC's goalkeeper Salmon McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes, Benedict Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenhall FC and the Banfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Benedict Cassin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Lastur in the 91st minute of play forced Greenhall FC's goalkeeper Salmon McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Banfield's Salmon McIan threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serafin Lehen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Banfield supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Banfield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
