Loid De Kepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits Ijkwezen in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute Jonathan Trenning suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeffrey Van De Look during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marnix Schild in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loid De Kepper saved Okapi aalstar from getting behind. Jelle Marant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 11 played minutes Okapi aalstar got a freekick which was hit by Jeffrey Van De Look. After some careless play in the Okapi aalstar defense, Marnix Schild kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Loid De Kepper. The Okapi aalstar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Loid De Kepper should have stopped the shot. In the 19th match minute, Okapi aalstar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorne De Worteleer to maneuver through the defense. Loid De Kepper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marnix Schild in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jens Thijs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Okapi aalstar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Thijs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoon Halen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 played minutes Baken got a freekick which was hit by Frits Ijkwezen. After a defensive mix-up in Okapi aalstar's zone, Marnix Schild stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loid De Kepper came out of the goal and Marnix Schild tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Loid De Kepper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marnix Schild in the 37th minute. Stephan Batenburg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Marnix Schild sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baken's Frits Ijkwezen got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jelle Marant to strike the kick off in the second half. Jelle Marant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antoon Halen made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jelle Marant sent off a good shot on target. Bert Blanc kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Jelle Marant struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Antoon Halen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Okapi aalstar. Jorne De Worteleer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Marnix Schild managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marnix Schild was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jelle Marant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Antoon Halen made a huge save. Marnix Schild blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loid De Kepper having to make a save. Marnix Schild struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Loid De Kepper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baken. Loid De Kepper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marnix Schild in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Baken's goalkeeper Antoon Halen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jelle Marant. For all the effort they put into the match, the Okapi aalstar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Baken.
