In the 19th minute, Serafin Lehen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Marnix Schild got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Eliu to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Janpier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Ijkwezen in the 33rd minute of the match. Antoon Halen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Frederico, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Serafin Lehen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Lehen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Baken getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Bert Blanc hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafin Lehen to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eulalio Frederico got free with Antoon Halen in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frits Ijkwezen might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Janpier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frits Ijkwezen ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Banfield booed when Baken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ton Kik didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Banfield's Serafin Lehen in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Frits Ijkwezen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Banfield's Horacio Janpier. Horacio Janpier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 85 played minutes Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Eliu. In the 93rdth minute of the game Serafin Lehen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baken's Antoon Halen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tommie de Vos's late challenge caught a Banfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommie de Vos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Tommie de Vos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoon Halen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Lehen in the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Baken had won after a very even match.
