The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Donato was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Gust Ennemans threw the ball into play from the sideline. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Clemente Jacinto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 22ndth minute of the game Olivier Gilg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Olivier Gilg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olivier Gilg. 37 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Chico Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olivier Gilg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 47th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olivier Gilg was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 50th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Clemente Jacinto. Clemente Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Clemente Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olivier Gilg in the 63rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chico Donato. That made the score 1-2 after 66 minutes of play. DIPLOMATA FC PAB made a substitution. Renato Quadros replaced Song Xiong Hong. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olivier Gilg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olivier Gilg in the 76th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Mathijn Doctor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DIPLOMATA FC PAB the free kick. 78 minutes into the game, one of Netherlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 87 minutes of play DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Clemente Jacinto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th minute, Clemente Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olivier Gilg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DIPLOMATA FC PAB.
