After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Xacintu Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Xacintu Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexis Bruneau kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xacintu Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. Xacintu Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxime Durand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xacintu Ribeiro in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of France booed when Atlético Bucaramanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Czubski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes of play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Bucaramanga fans cheered their team off the field, for while France had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
