The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ardy Pakubuwono struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Carol Stinga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Frank Rijkaard got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 18thth minute of the game Adam Olaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dacian Nițescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goalkeeper Dacian Nițescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match Romania got a corner. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Olaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. 25 minutes into the match, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Serban came free, but Dacian Nițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Olaru in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Nițescu saved AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC from getting behind. In the 31st minute Costica Vladimiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Nițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Costica Vladimiri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dacian Nițescu. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costica Vladimiri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

Dacian Nițescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costica Vladimiri in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Ardy Pakubuwono. Romania's Anton Stinga was substituted for Adam Olaru. Ardy Pakubuwono hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Rasvan Cristescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dacian Nițescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Dacian Nițescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Romania made a substitution. Octavian Vaduva replaced Costica Vladimiri. In the 64th minute Romania were awarded a corner. Sanda Cutov went to the cornerflag to take it. Anton Stinga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Nițescu having to make a save. Mauro Dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Ardy Pakubuwono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC made a substitution. Dewa Warauw replaced Don Cabezon. Dacian Nițescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Pangratiu in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the game Vasile Ciumak made a throw-in which Alexandru Pangratiu played forward. 85 minutes into the match, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carol Stinga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dacian Nițescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Stinga in the 89th minute of play. Romania were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sanda Cutov took the corner. After taking down the ball on Romania's corner Sanda Cutov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dacian Nițescu quite easily take care of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Vaduva came free, but Dacian Nițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romania played a much better game than AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC and deserved their victory. The AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
