Bánk Szigethy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Bánk Szigethy struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bochin club La Palmera. In the 14th minute Bernardino Marino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Remigio Mattin was slow to take the kick. During this time Bochin club La Palmera's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 29th minute of play forced Bochin club La Palmera's goalkeeper Dario Jacindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Erubiel Oihenarte in the 31 minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Jacindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fabricio Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Andrade couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Felipe Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dario Jacindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Felipe Barreto went to the cornerflag to take it. Portugal's Caetano Moreira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dario Jacindo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dario Jacindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Moura went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Bochin club La Palmera's goalkeeper Dario Jacindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. A collision led to Bochin club La Palmera getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Joaquin Montel hit a great ball. Bochin club La Palmera's Dario Jacindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 66th minute of play. Erubiel Oihenarte got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bánk Szigethy. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bánk Szigethy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Caetano Moreira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dario Jacindo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 74 minutes into the game, Caetano Moreira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dario Jacindo. Caetano Moreira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Dario Jacindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. Bartolomeu Dias was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some careless play in the Bochin club La Palmera defense, Felipinho Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Jacindo. The Bochin club La Palmera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Jacindo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Bochin club La Palmera booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portugal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
