Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) A throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game was made by Mihnea Bouleanu with Ioan Cipău as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 7th minute of play forced Fc Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nicodim Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrei Măgură struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Otelul Galati. The supporters of Germany booed when Fc Otelul Galati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Boerescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 16th minute of play. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Andrei Măgură capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrei Măgură really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nicodim Iacobeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 35th minute, Frank Sachs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Andrei Măgură took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th match minute, Fc Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Bouleanu to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicodim Iacobeanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. 53 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Teodorescu came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Ion Ailincai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alin Teodorescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Otelul Galati's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodim Iacobeanu came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Măgură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristide Drăgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. When Adrian Dreifuss fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Adrian Dreifuss a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nicodim Iacobeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 85 minutes Fc Otelul Galati's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frank Sachs who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Albin Holweck heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 93 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicodim Iacobeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fc Otelul Galati's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
