When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Eusebio Beltran put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fodor Daniel. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Eusebio Beltran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eusebio Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandros Ismael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hegedus Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eusebio Beltran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 29th minute of the match Águilas Poblanas got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfredo Niguel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 35th minute of play. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfredo Niguel fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Alfredo Niguel a yellow card for diving instead.

Águilas Poblanas made a substitution. Godofredo Hibai replaced Iker Urti. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusebio Beltran to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 59 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Takacs Tibor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute Eusebio Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Águilas Poblanas from getting a goal against them. After having played for 76 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Alexandros Ismael in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Katona Janos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Eusebio Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Eusebio Beltran sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. When the referee blew the final whistle, Águilas Poblanas could leave the field as winners, despite Hungary having more of the ball for most of the match.
