If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Jaktorowo in the 11th minute of play. If Norbert Jaktorowo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Janusze Futbolu's Claudio Caniglia got a free kick in the 17th minute. Raşit Alpaslan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute Norbert Jaktorowo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roch Banan who took care of the corner kick. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Peter-Michael Schmeichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Janusze Futbolu's Claudio Caniglia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Casper Claes. Casper Claes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Roch Banan's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roch Banan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Janusze Futbolu's Roch Banan got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 44th minute, Floris Claeys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Janusze Futbolu getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Raşit Alpaslan hit a great ball.

Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Caniglia, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Claudio Caniglia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Caniglia's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Janusze Futbolu were awarded a corner. Roch Banan went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Roch Banan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Peter-Michael Schmeichel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 58th minute. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 62nd minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Janusze Futbolu's Peter-Michael Schmeichel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio Caniglia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
