Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Bobei in the 14th minute. 21 minutes in the game Costel Gurgui did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gigi Bobei. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Codruț Macaneață got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 25th minute. Iurie Bănățeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Bănățeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Iurie Bănățeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iurie Bănățeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germany:s Tommy Kahn showed great skill when he stopped Gigi Bobei:s penalty. A hard shot 40 in the game by Gigi Bobei from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved.

52 minutes into the game, Janik Vogt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iurie Bănățeanu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. Leontin Titulescu got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cristinel Uncheşelu. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Bănățeanu in the 75th minute of play. In the 84th minute Codruț Macaneață shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
