Skarpa Ełk's Olaf Soroka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Schneider in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play, Austria's Fabio Schneider made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olaf Soroka was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Skarpa Ełk getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jurand Golob hit a great ball. The throw-in from Nico Waismann in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Skarpa Ełk's Cyryl Dziedziak. Olaf Soroka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Galishoff in the 43rd minute of play. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 78th minute Leonhard Maier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Soroka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
