João Pereira hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Nascente do Leça's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Frederico Vilalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Bomba hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frederico Vilalobos. Nascente do Leça's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Meesters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Cristiano Carrasqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
