After some careless play in the Romania defense, Ivan Moutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carol Stinga. The Romania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carol Stinga should have stopped the shot. After 21 minutes, Raul Lameirinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Fura Balizas and the Romania players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, FC Fura Balizas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Lameirinhas to maneuver through the defense. Long Gang Sen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sanda Cutov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Romania getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cosmin Barbulescu hit a great ball. Sanda Cutov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Long Gang Sen having to make a save. Fabrício Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Carol Stinga made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Olaru was the one to do the kick off. FC Fura Balizas's Long Gang Sen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save FC Fura Balizas from getting a goal against them. After 54 played minutes FC Fura Balizas got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Madruga. Romania's Octavian Vaduva was substituted for Costica Vladimiri. Ivan Moutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carol Stinga having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Moutinho in the 69th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Fura Balizas's Olívio Ribas was substituted for Ivan Moutinho. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. FC Fura Balizas's Cândido Cabral was substituted for Mario Azeari. Long Gang Sen had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Anton Stinga from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Ribas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Sanda Cutov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, FC Fura Balizas's goalkeeper Long Gang Sen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sanda Cutov. After having played for 82 minutes, Olívio Ribas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fura Balizas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio Ribas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Long Gang Sen was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Vasile Ciumak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasile Ciumak really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Long Gang Sen made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Sanda Cutov sent off a good shot on target. FC Fura Balizas succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Romania had controlled the match.
