Perico Raya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Witalis Brysz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CD Boiro's Perico Raya. Perico Raya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Eustaquio Turi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Arruda came out of the goal and Eustaquio Turi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erasto Mezquita kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Perico Raya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Egil Schjelderup, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Perico Raya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Poetass FC were awarded a corner. Cleiton Carioca went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda got control of the ball when Edgar Figari tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poetass FC's goalkeeper Moisés Arruda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Feria hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes of play, Poetass FC's Witalis Brysz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Perico Raya was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the CD Boiro defense, Witalis Brysz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perico Raya. The CD Boiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perico Raya should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Witalis Brysz was the one to do the kick off. CD Boiro's Perico Raya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save CD Boiro from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, CD Boiro's goalkeeper Perico Raya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerson Carneiro. The audience was convinced that Demario Cuadrado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moisés Arruda was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Ion Fernandez hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Poetass FC's Nildo de Souza was substituted for Gerson Carneiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Eustaquio Turi managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Boiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustaquio Turi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
