Real Llull de Reus's Luis Maestro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 17th minute of play. Luis Maestro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 19th minute of the match. Porfiro De Pablo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nestor Rico hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Real Llull de Reus's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Luis Maestro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Cefero Gala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Cefero Gala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp suffered a sprained foot after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Rico during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Nestor Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Llull de Reus's Luis Maestro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play. Luis Maestro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Llull de Reus's Luis Maestro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Llull de Reus's Marcelo Valverde was substituted for Lancelot Astudillo. After some careless play in the Real Llull de Reus defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Maestro. The Real Llull de Reus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Maestro should have stopped the shot. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cefero Gala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Maestro having to interfere. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Real Llull de Reus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Maestro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Espinosa in the 60th minute of the match. Real Llull de Reus's Raul Antón was substituted for Cefero Gala. Real Llull de Reus made a substitution. Che Valdivia replaced César Negro. Kees Mooiweer made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Egbert Nijveldt however managed to control. Luis Maestro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Kees Mooiweer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luis Maestro firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 73 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Maestro was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sijmen Clous hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 81st minute, Real Llull de Reus's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Raul Antón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Maestro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Maestro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 88th minute of the match. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Llull de Reus throughout the match.
