Gia Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 25th minute of the match. Gia Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zaccheo Andolina went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the game, Eduardo Beltran threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind BSC Thunder Arvutitark's goalkeeper Gia Buffon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gia Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. In the 91st minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gia Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
