When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fabio Schneider sped through P O L O N I A's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julian Makowski. Julian Makowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Schneider in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Sandro Galishoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Makowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Makowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Schneider in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, P O L O N I A's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Nalder came free, but Julian Makowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Austria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 36th minute Marvin Harrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Makowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Schneider scored 0-6 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julian Makowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandro Galishoff made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabio Schneider immediately put the ball in play. In the 43rd minute Fabio Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Makowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the P O L O N I A defense, Leonhard Maier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Makowski. The P O L O N I A fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Makowski should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariusz Kajdasz to make the kick off. Mateusz Rzegotka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patryk Dobilas lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
