Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Henric Villaquiran made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Henric Villaquiran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Iratze Lillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Henric Villaquiran sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Picanya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Naldo Roig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henric Villaquiran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Picanya FC's Naldo Roig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 24th minute of play. Naldo Roig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes Picanya FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when David Eikelkamp got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 29 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaskon Gimeno in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Gaskon Gimeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Roig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Picanya FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Picanya FC defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Roig. The Picanya FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Roig should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Roig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Picanya FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Naldo Roig made a huge save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Roig having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaskon Gimeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Henric Villaquiran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Picanya FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Gaskon Gimeno came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Naldo Roig. Wim Wilmes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Bermejo in the 92nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Roig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Reina came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
