The coaching staff of Alianza Trujillo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jude Lawen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Alianza Trujillo's Frederik Orejo was substituted for Javier Agudo. 15 minutes into the game, one of Alianza Trujillo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Szilveszter Szegh sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Marchena kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Puch in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Puch in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. Tomas Brandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 34th minute of play. Jean-Luc Picard hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Alianza Trujillo's José Puch got a free kick in the 38th minute. Casper Claes was a little too slow when José Puch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-2. Tomas Brandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match Alianza Trujillo got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Obano Mezcano ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Alianza Trujillo's Luis Miguel got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Alianza Trujillo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 1-2.

55 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when José Puch came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomas Brandt having to make a save. With a little luck, Alianza Trujillo's Tomas Brandt got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Alianza Trujillo's goalkeeper Tomas Brandt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. If Szilveszter Szegh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Alianza Trujillo fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Alianza Trujillo's José Puch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alianza Trujillo's Pudes Vilas was substituted for Szilveszter Szegh. Tomas Brandt made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Puch in the 89th minute of the match. If Luis Miguel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
