In the 3rd minute Raigo Vananurm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes of play, Scarlet Speedster's Váldson Bittencourt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lázaro Colon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Porfirio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes in the game Ryszard Janiczek did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fausto Mendonça. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 16th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Isias in the 20th minute of play. Uriel Isias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Naldo Proença made a huge save. Lázaro Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Juniors FC's Christian Cedro got a free kick in the 27th minute. Naldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Satordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Colon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The Juniors FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Scarlet Speedster were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Uriel Isias made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Uriel Isias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juniors FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarlet Speedster the free kick. A collision led to Juniors FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Uriel Isias hit a great ball. Scarlet Speedster made a substitution. Virgílio Perez replaced Fausto Mendonça. Lázaro Colon came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Scarlet Speedster's Virgílio Perez. But to his dismay, Virgílio Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Juniors FC made a substitution. Prospero Furman replaced Wlodzimierz Lepper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Frasco in the 79th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Raigo Vananurm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Christian Cedro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute Enrique Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Perez in the 92nd minute of the match. The Juniors FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Scarlet Speedster's performance. The match ended with a win for Scarlet Speedster.
