In the 9thth minute of the game Fedele Panza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spain's Gabriel Ascaso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Hibai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. If Fedele Panza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Tammaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Toledo in the 16th minute of play. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Fedele Panza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Ascaso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Panza in the 23rd minute of play. Cristoforo Tammaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Tammaro having to interfere. Felice Cirigliano kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Omar Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Panza in the 31st minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Hibai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Lunatics of Arianrhod's zone, Adria Bielsa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristoforo Tammaro came out of the goal and Adria Bielsa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Omar Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro. Lunatics of Arianrhod's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedele Panza. After 45 played minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod got a freekick which was hit by Johan Ström. In the 47th minute Spain were awarded a corner. Omar Toledo went to the cornerflag to take it. Vicente Merino made a great header on Spain's corner, it was just that Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Toledo made a kick off. A collision led to Lunatics of Arianrhod getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Johan Ström hit a great ball. Omar Toledo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Cristoforo Tammaro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gabriel Ascaso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai managed to work through Spain's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joel Hibai dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 69th match minute, Lunatics of Arianrhod was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Ström to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Di Placido kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. Cristoforo Tammaro made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Carles Cherro sent off a good shot on target. Johan Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Ruiz. Carles Cherro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Cristoforo Tammaro made a huge save. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Hibai in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Lunatics of Arianrhod booed when Spain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Ferrandis didn't get a good kick on the ball.
