An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 39th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Leif Opdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Markham in the 42nd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Markham was the one to do the kick off. Kai Østbye's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Kai Østbye scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brufoss IL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Major Barna scored to the left of an out of position Leif Opdal, making the score, 1-1. Brufoss IL's Asbjørn Sigurdsen was substituted for Anders Elstad. Leif Opdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balazs Lajos in the 77th minute. After 77 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Markham. After having played for 78 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. In the 83rd minute, August Bergsland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leif Opdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 88th minute. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Balazs Lajos hit a great ball. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Opdal having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Hungary failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
