The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucian Stere had several of the Germany's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Tommy Kahn as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Pumarejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Zygmunt Dunajski was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Germany's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Silvestre Pumarejo 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Pumarejo in the 14th minute of play. Denis Marinescu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Marian Văduvescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Zygmunt Dunajski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. When FC Steaua Pildesti's Silvestre Pumarejo in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Stere in the 55th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Steaua Pildesti's Silvestre Pumarejo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Dunajski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Marian Văduvescu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 85th minute. It was beautiful to see FC Steaua Pildesti's Nistor Costandache in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 94th minute of the game Nae Griguță made a throw-in which Cristian Fința played forward.
